Service Description
PLEASE NOTE: A Cut includes removing inches/excessive split ends, a complete re-style for a new shape, bangs or layers. The Children’s Silk Press is a temporal straightening process for natural curly hair to give your child’s hair a smooth straight finish or lovely bouncy curls. We are very gentle and are careful not to tug, pull or cause strain on their tender edges/hairline. We begin with a Pre-Treatment containing ingredients such as aloe vera leaf juice and coconut water to detangle, nourish, soften and prep the hair prior to applying any shampoo. Next is a triple cleanse followed by an intense conditioning treatment and scalp massage to encourage blood flow to stimulate the hair follicles. The heat used during the treatment causes the layers of the hair to swell and open up allowing for deeper penetration of the treatment into the hair shaft. A leave-in treatment is added to the hair and silk-infused products are applied ready for the temporal straightening process using a combination of blowdryer and flat iron techniques. We use a wide range of top tier brands including Keracare, Mizani, Joico, Pureology, Design Essentials, As I Am and Shea Moisture. We also have our very own in-house brand - Nude London. A rich shampoo and conditioner duo made from au naturel products that are gentle on children’s hair with organic ingredients such as coconut oil, aloe vera leaf juice and lavender oil. We will find products that best suit your child's hair type and a personalized Home Care Routine Guide and Product Recommendation List can be purchased following your appointment to help you maintain your child's hair at home. IMPORTANT INFO - Hair that is medium-long or is extra thick will incur a surcharge of £15-£40. - For children up to the age of 11. - We cannot perform this treatment on anyone that we deem as unsuitable for this service. In such cases, we will amend the treatment to suit their hair type and advise on a course of action moving forward to improve the condition of their hair. - We appreciate our mini clients may get restless or be uncomfortable having their hair done. We do everything in our power to make them as comfortable as possible. Appointments that run over the designated time slot will incur an additional charge. - Hair that is excessively tangled and/or matted may require an Unmatting service which will be charged at an additional £15 per15 minutes
